My times are in your hands...

The Psalms have been my "go-to" book of the Bible lately (for obvious reasons)...this morning, reading chapter 31, could not have come at a more appropriate time...

"...I trust in the Lord. I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to the enemy but you have set my feet in a spacious place." vs. 6-8

And, later in verses 14-15 it says:

"But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, 'You are my God.' My times are in your hands..." commentary reads..."In saying 'My times our in your hands,' David was expressing his belief that all of life's circumstances are under God's control. Knowing God loves and cares for us enables us to keep steady faith regardless of our circumstances. It keeps us from sinning foolishly by taking matters into our own hands or resenting God's timetable."

LOVE this...and now it is the verse we will read and claim as we walk out to our cars every day...

  1. Thank you for sharing these. So true, and I love them. There are so many in the bible I still have not read. That should be on my list of things to do, I need to read the bible.

  2. There is a dear Christian friend of mine who has been mentoring me through my infertility, and she wrote this verse down for me once to encourage me. I immediately posted it on my fridge and read it every time I walked by. That verse spoke to me so clearly and I have looked to it many times as a source of comfort. How wonderful that the words we need to hear the most come from the true Word of the Lord. Be encouraged today:)

  3. Saw your chalkboard on Pintrest...thought you might like to see this Sonogram Tree and story...

  4. Love how God is revealing Himself to you both...thru this walk. also love the chalkboard verse...I so enjoy my chalkboard of verses that remind me of whom I belong day this ought to be a encouraging.

    love momma
